Cook outside
Outdoor BBQ Installation.
An outdoor cooking area works when everything around it is right: the pad it stands on, the distance to the kitchen door, the landing space beside the grill, and the room for people to gather without standing in the cook's way.

01
Built-in grills and BBQ islands
A built-in grill station or full BBQ island turns cooking into a permanent feature of the backyard — masonry or stone facade, countertop space on both sides of the grill, storage doors, and room for extras like side burners, refrigeration, or a sink.
The island is sized and positioned to the way you cook and entertain: close enough to the kitchen to carry food comfortably, oriented so the cook faces the gathering instead of away from it.
02
Paving and placement
The cooking area sits on a properly paved, level surface — usually a defined pad within the larger patio, sometimes set off by a contrasting border or a different laying pattern so the zone reads clearly.
Counters and clearances are planned for real use: space for platters, a landing zone near the grill lid, a bar or counter edge where guests can sit or lean without being in the traffic path between grill and table.

Made for the desert evening
In Las Vegas the backyard kitchen earns its keep through long shoulder seasons and evenings — cooking outside when the house would otherwise heat up. Lighting and layout are considered so the space works as well at nine in the evening as at noon.
